RONALD F. ZOLLO, Ph.D., P.E., is Professor Emeritus of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Florida. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and a Member of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) he has served leadership roles on several standards writing committees and after appointment to an ad hoc Task Force after Hurricane Andrew he served as a member of the Miami-Dade County Building Code Committee. He is author of numerous journal articles and has been an invited lecturer at national and international forums. He is co-founder of Engineering Analytics, Inc., (EA) offering engineering and litigation expert services since January 1986.
