Dr. Ivonne Schmid earned her Ph.D. in physical science from Martin Luther University in Germany. Since 2003 she has been working at the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, mainly in the field of competitive aquatics and aquatic history, which has allowed her to travel nationally and internationally. For the last ten years she has also been involved in numerous drowning prevention programs and aquatic symposiums. Dr. Schmid is the author/ co-author of several books, scientific articles and aquatic environmental studies and has edited multiple aquatic related books and articles.
