Dr. Brian Haus is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Applied Marine Physics at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School for Marine and Atmospheric Science. His research focuses on experimental studies of ocean surface currents, coastal processes and rip currents, air-sea interactions, shelf and estuary dynamics and wave-current dynamics in inlets. He has authored over 30 publications in the peer-reviewed scientific literature on these topics and has presented his work at numerous international meetings. He has also been featured on the Discovery Channel, Weather Channel, National Geographic the History Channel and NBC nightly news.
